The Housemaid — the thriller that became Sydney Sweeney’s biggest film ever, with over $401 million worldwide (per Box Office Mojo) — starts streaming on HBO Max on Friday 9 October. Sydney stars as Millie Calloway, a live-in maid whose dream job turns into a nightmare, and she also executive-produced the film. It is Certified Fresh at 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, broke Starz’s all-time Pay-1 record earlier this year, and the sequel, The Housemaid’s Secret, is filming now in New Jersey for a 17 December 2027 release.
